I would venture a guess that it could somehow be related to differing versions of Apache - when I wrote this guide, I was using XAMPP for Mac 0.7.3. Syntax error on line 5 of /Applications/xampp/etc/extra/httpd-dynamic-vhosts.conf: AllowOverride not allowed here" Any clue as to why that happens? Note: I do not have a Tomato-compatible router, so I did not do the DNS sauce stuff. XAMPP reports:
